West Seneca East was dealt a 65-24 loss at the hands of West Seneca West. West Seneca East was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-15.
Sima Alfaqih was West Seneca East's leading scorer, having posted five points.
Hailey Alba held things down on the boards with seven rebounds. Alba took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Seneca West to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sophie Robertson, who scored 14 points along with 9 rebounds. Jayden Ecker was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 5 steals.
West Seneca East's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for West Seneca West, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Seneca East will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Varsity Opponent at 6:30 p.m. on December 5th. As for West Seneca West, they will take on Amherst Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
