Baseball Game Preview: Dora Coyotes vs. Elida Tigers

Dora is 1-9 against Elida since April of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Coyotes will be playing at home against the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. Dora has given up an average of 10.5 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Gateway Christian hit Dora with a six-run fifth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Coyotes lost 13-3 to the Warriors.

Dora saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Jasso, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Elida, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 17-4 margin over Melrose on Monday. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 13 runs or more this season.

Dora's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Elida, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Dora came out on top in a nail-biter against Elida in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 10-8. Do the Coyotes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
