Recap: San Francisco Waldorf Wolverines vs. Drew Dragons
The San Francisco Waldorf Wolverines scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They had just enough and edged Drew out 68-65. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Miles MacDonald was his usual excellent self, scoring 46 points. That makes it 14 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of San Francisco Waldorf's points. Jasper Burgard was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Several Dragons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ezra Kolsky, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Kolsky continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Teo Kimball-Directo, who scored 22 points along with two steals.
San Francisco Waldorf's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Drew, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.
San Francisco Waldorf will head out on the road to challenge The Bay School at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Drew, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Gateway at 7:30 p.m. Gateway is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
