Softball Recap: New Smyrna Beach Barracudas vs. Taylor Wildcats
New Smyrna Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 14-4 to the Taylor Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 back in February.
Jaclyn Betti made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Valerie Hausknecht was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
New Smyrna Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Taylor, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.
