Basketball Game Preview: Blue Springs South Jaguars vs. Lee's Summit North Broncos

The Blue Springs South Jaguars will face off against the Lee's Summit North Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Blue Springs South has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight defeats, while Lee's Summit North will come in with four straight wins.

It was a proper cat-fight when Blue Springs South duked it out withRaymore-Peculiar on Monday. Blue Springs South took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Raymore-Peculiar. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while the Panthers are ranked 79th).

Meanwhile, Lee's Summit North hadn't done well against Lee's Summit West recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Lee's Summit North sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 58-56 victory over Lee's Summit West.

The win got Lee's Summit North back to even at 7-7. As for Blue Springs South, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.

Blue Springs South skirted past Lee's Summit North 53-50 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Will Blue Springs South repeat their success, or does Lee's Summit North have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
