Volleyball Recap: Graham Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Graham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Virginia High Bearcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bearcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Graham started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 20-25, 25-19, 25-19, 15-13.

Elise Jacobs paced Graham's offense, picking up 12 kills. Jacobs really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 16. Kadance Bowman and Kaleah Ross kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

Graham's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Virginia High, their win bumped their record up to 4-15.

When Graham and Virginia High next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The G-Men will try to stop Narrows' three-game winning streak when they meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Virginia High will face off against Marion and their five-game winning streak at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
