Baseball Recap: Mounds Takes a Loss

Mounds was the 5-3 winner over Liberty when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Golden Eagles fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 8-6 on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Golden Eagles have lost by exactly two runs.

Mounds has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Liberty, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-17 record.

While Mounds had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
