 The Lincolnton Wolves will be playing at home against the West Lincoln Rebels at 6:15  p.m.  on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
 Last Tuesday, Lincolnton came up short against Maiden  and fell  53-43. While losing is never fun, Lincolnton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings  (they are ranked 491st, while Maiden is ranked 232nd).
 Despite their  loss, Lincolnton saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays.  Curmiya Tillman, who  scored 12 points along with seven  rebounds and four  steals, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was  Daphca Dyson, who  scored seven points along with seven  rebounds.
 Even though they lost, Lincolnton  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 14  offensive rebounds. This was only their 15th loss (out of 20 games) when  they hit their own glass that hard.
 West Lincoln won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune  on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough  100-21 loss at the hands of East Burke. West Lincoln was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  61-16.
 Lincolnton has  been struggling recently as they've  lost eight of their last nine contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record  this season. As for West Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-14.
 Lincolnton lost to West Lincoln at home  by a decisive  54-40 margin  when the teams last played  back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of  West Lincoln's  Carolina Robinson, who  dropped  a triple-double on 25 points, 15  rebounds,  and 12  blocks.
