Softball Recap: North Valleys Has No Trouble Against South Tahoe

North Valleys not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 27, 2024. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the South Tahoe Vikings. With that win, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

Maddie Rebell made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. What's more, she gave up only zero hits, the fewest she's had since back in March of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, Caylee Soap was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Lillian Hall was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

North Valleys always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for North Valleys and bumps their season record up to 3-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for South Tahoe, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: North Valleys beat South Tahoe by a score of 15-0 later that day.
