Baseball Recap: Roy Royals vs. Fremont Wolves
Roy extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping them down to 6-11. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fremont Wolves. The Royals were not able to make up for their loss to the Wolves from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.
As for Fremont, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games.
For Fremont's part, Tad Grange was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Grange has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kasen Pearson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Adam Mikesell also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
