Volleyball Game Preview: Ulysses Tigers vs. Holcomb Longhorns

The Ulysses Tigers will face off against the Holcomb Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Monday, Ulysses came up short against Wichita County and fell 3-1. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Ulysses actually scored more points across those four sets (90-89), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Holcomb had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Beavers.

While Holcomb won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20.

Holcomb's victory bumped their record up to 26-4. As for Ulysses, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-17-1.

Ulysses couldn't quite get it done against Holcomb in their previous matchup last Saturday as they fell 2-0. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Longhorns' Delilah Galliart, who had 19 digs. Now that the Tigers know the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time?
