Softball Recap: Rabun County Wildcats vs. Lumpkin County Indians
Rabun County couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 15-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lumpkin County Indians on Thursday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Indians recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
River Evans made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with a home run, six RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Shirley, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
