Basketball Recap: Providence Christian Academy Griffins vs. Avon Grove Charter Wolves

Even though the Avon Grove Charter Wolves scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, the Providence Christian Academy Griffins still came out on top. Providence Christian Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wolves and snuck past 58-56. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Providence Christian Academy.

Bryce Unruh continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with seven assists and six steals. Unruh is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least four every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Keller, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.

Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Xavier London, who scored 22 points along with two blocks. Another player making a difference was Kamran Masih, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Providence Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Avon Grove Charter, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Providence Christian Academy will face off against the Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Tri-State Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last ten matches. As for Avon Grove Charter, they will head out on the road to square off against the at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Harford Christian has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 28.
