Volleyball Recap: Monterey Comes Up Short

Monterey's tournament run continued when they took on Oakridge on Saturday. The Plainsmen fell just short of the Owls by a score of 2-1.

Emerson Satterfield paced Monterey's offense, picking up six kills. Satterfield really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 11. Finally, Piper Graham kept Monterey's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Monterey's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Oakridge, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Monterey will head out to face off against Plainview at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oakridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Village Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
