Softball Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Riverside and Benjamin Logan have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Saturday. The Pirates lost 10-4 to the Raiders. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Riverside saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Dillon, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double. Emilee Robinson was another, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Benjamin Logan, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverside will square off against Bethel at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bees have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Benjamin Logan, they will face off against Shawnee at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The Braves' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Raiders' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
