The Hortonville Polar Bears had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past Notre Dame Academy, posting a 77-36 win on the road. That's another feather in the cap for Hortonville, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Among those leading the charge was Riley Mueller, who scored 22 points. Another player making a difference was Gavin Valeri, who scored 13 points.
Hortonville's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Notre Dame Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Hortonville will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Appleton North at 7:45 p.m. As for Notre Dame Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against West De Pere at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
