Basketball Recap: Mount St. Mary Takes a Loss

Mount St. Mary and Weatherford squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Mount St. Mary had to settle for second. They came up short against the Weatherford Eagles, falling 73-49. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the Eagles are ranked first).

Mount St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Weatherford, the win (which was their 19th in a row) raised their record to 29-1.

Mount St. Mary does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Weatherford, they will face off against North Rock Creek on Friday. One thing working in North Rock Creek's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.
