Basketball Recap: Troy Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake came into Tuesday's match looking for another win against Troy, but Amaya Harris wouldn't allow it. The Troy Flying Horses walked away with a 47-40 victory over the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Spartans on Tuesday thanks in part to Harris, who went 6 of 14 en route to 20 points and eight rebounds. Harris is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taniyah Monforte, who posted 13 points along with seven boards and five steals. Rylie Kline also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

Troy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.9 points per game. As for Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-12.
