Baseball Recap: Cumberland Comes Up Short

Cumberland lost against Richland County back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Cumberland came up short against Richland County, falling 10-1. The loss leaves the Pirates still looking for their first win of the season.

Cumberland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Richland County, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cumberland will challenge Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cumberland is facing Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City at the right time seeing as Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Richland County, they will square off against Centralia at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
