Soccer Recap: R.J. Reynolds Comes Up Short

R.J. Reynolds lost against West Forsyth back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Demons fell just short of the Titans by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, R.J. Reynolds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 112th, while West Forsyth are ranked 25th).

This is the second loss in a row for R.J. Reynolds and nudges their season record down to 8-7-3. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 11-4-2 East Forsyth (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 75.6% over those games). As for West Forsyth, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-3-1.

R.J. Reynolds didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-1 victory against Reagan on the 5th. As for West Forsyth, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against East Forsyth on the 5th.
