Basketball Recap: Perkins Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Perkins can now relate to. They lost 60-35 to the Bellevue Redmen on Wednesday. The Pirates have struggled against the Redmen recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Perkins' defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Bellevue, they pushed their record up to 23-1 with the win, which was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season.

Perkins does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bellevue, they will square off against Shelby at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bellevue knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Shelby likes a good challenge.
