Soccer Game Preview: North Valleys vs. Reno

The North Valleys Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Reno Huskies at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

North Valleys was handed a five-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Spanish Springs. The win was a breath of fresh air for North Valleys as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Meanwhile, Reno hadn't done well against Reed recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Huskies' defense stepped up to hand the Raiders a 1-0 shutout. The game was the first time Reno have beaten Reed on their pitch since September 29, 2018.

Reno's one-goal win came courtesy of Marshall Benoy, who's now up to two this season.

North Valleys picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 5-8-1. As for Reno, they now have a winning record of 6-5-1.
