Softball Game Preview: Columbian Tornadoes vs. Perkins Pirates

The Columbian Tornadoes will challenge the Perkins Pirates at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Columbian is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They lost 18-1 to Clyde.

Columbian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olyvia Steinmetz, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Perkins was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They came up short against Norwalk, falling 11-1.

Perkins has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Columbian, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Columbian came out on top in a nail-biter against Perkins in their previous meeting back in April, sneaking past 9-7. Will the Tornadoes repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
