Softball Recap: Lafayette Generals vs. East Jessamine Jaguars

Lafayette proved they can win big last Monday (they won by eight) but on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the East Jessamine Jaguars. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lafayette also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2019.

Lyla Hould spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Jenna Wells was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Brynna Harris, who went 2-for-4 with a stolen base, a double, and an RBI.

On East Jessamine's side, Jessica Searcy was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs, and a double.
