Basketball Game Preview: Ashland Clockers vs. Dedham Marauders

Ashland is 1-7 against Dedham since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Ashland Clockers will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against the Dedham Marauders at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 75-45, which was the final score in Ashland's tilt against Norwood on Tuesday. The Clockers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Dedham came up short against Hopkinton on Tuesday and fell 54-47. The Marauders haven't had much luck with the Hillers recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Ashland's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Dedham, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Ashland beat Dedham 60-53 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ashland since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
