Football Recap: Kettering Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Kettering fell victim to Walled Lake Northern and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 46-0 loss at the hands of the Knights. The Captains were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

It was another big night for Reid Widmer, who rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also picked up 31 receiving yards for Walled Lake Northern. That's the most receiving yards Widmer has posted since back in October of 2024. Bradyn Veliu also deserves some recognition as he passed for his first passing touchdown of the season.

Kettering's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Walled Lake Northern, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-6.

Coming up, Kettering will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Mott at 1:00 p.m. As for Walled Lake Northern, they will head out to challenge Holly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bronchos will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
