Volleyball Recap: Rowlett Takes a Loss

Rowlett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Garland Owls. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Owls this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Rowlett was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-18, 25-15.

Rowlett's loss dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Garland, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-15 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Rowlett is set to take on their familiar foe Sachse at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Garland will challenge rival North Garland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
