Basketball Game Preview: North Central Wolfpack vs. Kennewick Lions

The North Central Wolfpack will head out on the road to square off against the Kennewick Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

North Central is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 69-58 victory over Ridgeline. Given the Wolfpack's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 59th, while the Falcons are ranked 204th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

North Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makai Daniels, who posted 20 points. The game was Daniels' 13th in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Wright, who earned 15 points.

Meanwhile, Kennewick was able to grind out a solid victory over Kamiakin on Saturday, taking the game 67-56.

North Central's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Kennewick, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.

North Central was taken down by Kennewick 87-56 when the teams last played back in December of 2021. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point North Central was down 48-28.
