Basketball Game Preview: Southern Raiders vs. Sacred Heart Irish

Southern is 0-10 against Sacred Heart since January of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Southern Raiders will venture away from home to square off against the Sacred Heart Irish. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.

Southern is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against Sterling on Friday as Southern made off with a 59-39 victory.

Meanwhile, Sacred Heart humbled Pawnee City with a 54-25 victory. The Irish have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Sacred Heart's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.2 points per game. As for Southern, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11.

Southern was dealt a bruising 57-27 loss at the hands of Sacred Heart in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Southern was down 36-16.
