Basketball Recap: Spooner Triumphs

Spooner hadn't done well against Ashland recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Spooner Rails came out on top against the Ashland Oredockers by a score of 40-29. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 48-28 back in January.

The victory made it two in a row for Spooner and bumps their season record up to 4-14. As for Ashland, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season.

Spooner wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 58-33 loss against St. Croix Falls on the 14th. As for Ashland, they have also already played their next contest, a 64-25 defeat against Barron on the 14th.
