Volleyball Recap: Quakertown Panthers vs. Central Bucks East Patriots

Quakertown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Central Bucks East Patriots. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Patriots when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Quakertown was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Central Bucks East work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-16, 26-24, 17-25, 23-25, 15-13.

Tyler A Moyer paced Quakertown's offense, picking up 11 kills. A Moyer got some help from Sean Gillin and his 33 assists. A Moyer also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with James Conner, racking up two apiece.

Quakertown's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13-1. As for Central Bucks East, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Quakertown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Central Bucks South on the 11th. As for Central Bucks East, they will welcome Central Bucks West at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
