Basketball Game Preview: Marquette Redmen vs. Carman-Ainsworth Cavaliers

The Marquette Redmen will face off against the Carman-Ainsworth Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Marquette's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 contests.

Marquette's tournament run continued when they took on Cadillac on Tuesday. Marquette walked away with a 63-51 win over Cadillac. Given the Redmen's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Vikings are ranked 60th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Carman-Ainsworth had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.7 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 64-60 W against the Rams.

Marquette's victory bumped their record up to 22-3. As for Carman-Ainsworth, their win bumped their record up to 21-5.
