Recap: Berrien Rebels vs. Worth County Rams
The Berrien Rebels's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Worth County 80-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Berrien has suffered since November 28, 2023.
Worth County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jariah Williams, who scored 15 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Williams hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was A?Mya Garmon, who scored 14 points along with six steals.
Berrien has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Worth County, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Berrien will square off against Jeff Davis at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Worth County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Atkinson County at 4:00 p.m. on January 20th.
