It was a good run, but McCamey unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were beaten by the Wink Wildcats 75-31. The Badgers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-16.

Wink got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Adelynn Thompson out in front who went 12 of 23 en route to 28 points and six rebounds. Thompson's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aizlyn Dewberry, who dropped a triple-double on 12 points, 13 rebounds, and ten assists.

McCamey's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-7. As for Wink, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a massive bump to their 16-8 record this season.

McCamey will take on Van Horn at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wink, they will face off against Fort Hancock at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wink is facing Fort Hancock at the right time seeing as Fort Hancock is stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
