Football Recap: Whale Branch Warriors vs. Edisto Cougars        
        
		
             Whale Branch was handed a 36-point  defeat in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against Edisto on Friday. The Whale Branch Warriors narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past the Edisto Cougars  20-18.
 Among those leading the charge was   Jermon Bowers, who rushed for 117 yards and a touchdown.
 Whale Branch wouldn't let Edisto keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force four fumbles. It was truly a group effort as  I'Veon Watson,  Tony Broxton Jr,  Eddie Gonzolez,  and  Isaiah Evans picked up one apiece. Evans also  made four  total tackles, which is notable because Whale Branch is 2-1 when he posts  at  least  four  total tackles, but 1-2 otherwise.
 The  win  got Whale Branch back to even at 3-3. As for Edisto, their loss was  their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 2-5.
 Whale Branch will square off against Lake Marion at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Edisto, they will have a little extra prep time after the  defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Barnwell at 7:30  p.m.  on October 25th.
