Basketball Game Preview: Heritage Christian Eagles vs. Wiggins Tigers

Having just played yesterday, the Heritage Christian Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Wiggins Tigers at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Heritage Christian saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a hard 81-62 fall against Forge Christian.

Despite the loss, Heritage Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Guede Wade dropped a double-double with 21 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Nevarez, who shot 55% from the field on his way to 17 points and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Wiggins unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 44-43 to Fort Morgan. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Heritage Christian suffered a grim 72-52 defeat to Wiggins when the teams last played back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Tigers' Jackson Adams, who went 10-for-12 en route to 25 points and five rebounds. Now that the Eagles know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
