It was fun while it lasted, but Ware County's undefeated season came to an end after 13 games on Saturday. They fell to the Colquitt County Packers 56-50. The Gators were not able to make up for their defeat to the Packers from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Colquitt County had a senior duo take command as Amira Walters- Smith posted 26 points and three steals and Amareyia Knighton went 9 of 19 on her way to 22 points. Knighton has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Nacardia Robinson, who put up seven points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Ware County fell to 13-1. As for Colquitt County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1.

Ware County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-56 loss against Bradwell Institute on the 30th. As for Colquitt County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-44 defeat against Camden County on the 3rd.
