Basketball Recap: Northeast Kansas Nighthawks Homeschool Piles Up the Points Against St. Louis Christian Homeschool K

Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool saw some tournament action on Thursday. They blew past the St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K Knights 70-38. Given the Nighthawks' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 95th in Kansas, while the Knights are ranked 287th in Missouri), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K still got an impressive performance from Nathan Reed, who went 7-for-17 on his way to 20 points and four steals. The game was Reed's seventh in a row with at least 18 points. JohnPaul Gunn was another key player, putting up four points.

The win made it two in a row for Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool and bumps their season record up to 9-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points over those games. As for St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-18 record this season.

Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-53 loss against Southern Missouri RUSH on the 21st. As for St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 75-71 victory against Wichita HomeSchool on the 21st.
