Basketball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Jordan Christian Prep's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Jordan Christian Prep unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 70-63 to the Columbia Tigers.

Columbia was led to victory by Gavin Broomfield and Zavian Douglas. Broomfield went 7 for 8 on his way to 15 points and three steals, while Douglas went 5 of 11 on his way to 11 points in addition to seven boards and five blocks. Those five blocks gave Douglas a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zamarion Jones, who posted nine points and three steals.

Jordan Christian Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Columbia, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-6.

Jordan Christian Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-58 victory against Santa Fe on the 29th. As for Columbia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 41-36 win against Forest on the 29th.
