Softball Recap: Conway Triumphs

Conway won the last time they faced Socastee and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Tigers walked away with a 5-1 win over the Braves. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Addison Fogle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Conway saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Drew, who went 2-for-3 with two runs. McKenzie Rabon also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

The victory got Conway back to even at 8-8. As for Socastee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11.

Conway will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Braves: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
