After flying high against Troy on Friday, Ballston Spa came back down to earth. The Scotties took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kellenberg Memorial Firebirds on Sunday. The Scotties' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Madelyn Perrone made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Ballston Spa's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Kellenberg Memorial, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Ballston Spa will take on Wellsville at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for Kellenberg Memorial, they will face off against Webster Schroeder at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Firebirds surely won't give up without a fight.
