Volleyball Recap: Brighton Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Brighton challenged Lawrence County on Saturday. The Cardinals fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1.

Elizabeth Collins paced Brighton's offense, picking up seven kills. Collins got some help from Greta Garrett and her eight assists. Collins was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Brighton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Lawrence County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brighton will square off against Tipton Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lawrence County, they will challenge Summertown at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
