Softball Recap: Chaska Has No Trouble Against Orono

After only one run in their last contest, Chaska made sure to put some runs up on the board against Orono on Thursday. The Hawks blew past the Spartans 16-1. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Chaska got a great performance from Noelle Stein as she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits.

On the hitting side, Ashlyn Larson was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four RBI and two runs. Another player making a difference was Ellie Scott, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Chaska was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

The win got Chaska back to even at 1-1. As for Orono, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Looking ahead, Chaska will head out on the road to face off against Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Orono, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mound-Westonka at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
