Softball Recap: 17 Straight Home Victories for Jackson

Jackson proved they can win big last Friday (they won by seven) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Lake Stevens Vikings 4-3. The win was familiar territory for the Timberwolves, who have now won four matches in a row.

Allie Thomsen (2025-UW) spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Madi Jacquot (2027) was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

Jackson's victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.4 runs. As for Lake Stevens, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson will host Ballard at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Timberwolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Beavers have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season. As for Lake Stevens, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Arlington at 4:30 p.m. on the 14th.
