Basketball Game Preview: South Plantation Paladins vs. Nova Titans

South Plantation is 0-6 against Nova since December of 2016 but things could change on Wednesday. The South Plantation Paladins just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Nova Titans at 6:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Nova is hoping to do what Taravella couldn't on Tuesday: put an end to South Plantation's winning streak, which now stands at three games. South Plantation was the clear victor by a 47-21 margin over Taravella.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Nova over Boyd Anderson in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Nova blew Boyd Anderson out of the water with a 75-10 final score. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 52-0.

Nova's win came from a few key players South Plantation will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jaelynn Housey, who posted five points in addition to six assists and five steals. Another player making a difference was Skye Thompson, who had ten points along with seven boards and six assists.

Nova was working as a unit and finished the game with 29 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Nova pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 48.5 points. As for South Plantation, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

South Plantation was dealt a bruising 65-28 defeat at the hands of Nova in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Housey, who put up 32 points in addition to seven boards and five steals.
