             The St. Teresa Bulldogs came up short against  the Farmington Farmers on Friday, falling  42-18. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings  (they are ranked 360th, while the Farmers are ranked 169th).
 When it comes to explaining why St. Teresa lost, don't look at  Caiden Kernaghan. Despite the final result, he threw for 110 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 93 yards.
 This is the second loss in a row for St. Teresa and  nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Farmington, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with that  victory, which was their seventh straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Teresa will take on Elmwood/Brimfield at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Farmington, they will challenge Bureau Valley at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Farmington knows how to get  points on the board -- the  team has finished with 31 point or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Bureau Valley likes a good challenge.
