Soccer Game Preview: Morgan City vs. South Terrebonne

Morgan City is 0-9-1 against South Terrebonne since November of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Morgan City Tigers will be taking part in a tournament against the South Terrebonne Gators at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Morgan City took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Westgate. The win was a breath of fresh air for Morgan City as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Yenifer Garcia and Geraldine Martinez scored all three of Morgan City's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, South Terrebonne hadn't done well against Houma Christian recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. South Terrebonne won by a goal and slipped past Houma Christian 2-1.

South Terrebonne now has a winning record of 4-3-2. As for Morgan City, their victory bumped their record up to 3-8.

Morgan City suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to South Terrebonne when the teams last played back in November. Can Morgan City avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
