             St. Edmund has gone 8-0 against North Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Friday. The St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays will take on the North Central Hurricanes at 7:00  p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (St. Edmund has three straight  wins, North Central has 11 straight  defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
 Last Friday, St. Edmund took their  game at home  with ease, bagging  a  60-15 victory over Morgan City. The  contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached  54-7.
 St. Edmund's success was spearheaded by the efforts of   Henry Summerlin, who rushed for 83 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries, and   Kane West, who threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 passes. Summerlin is  crushing it when it comes to  rushing touchdowns: he's   punched in at least two every time he's  taken the field this season. 122 of those passing yards were hauled in by John Landry, who also brought in a  receiving touchdown.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, St. Edmund was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 233  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 199  rushing yards in three consecutive  matches.
 Meanwhile,  it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose  60-6, which was the final score in North Central's tilt against Pine Prairie on Thursday.
 St. Edmund's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for North Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
 Everything came up roses for St. Edmund against North Central when the teams last played  back in October of 2023 as the  team secured  a  48-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Edmund since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
