Paul VI faced Flint Hill in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Panthers fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 2-1. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Paul VI couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Flint Hill a tough time in the second set. The final score came out to 23-25, 31-29, 15-8.

Coco Lewis paced Paul VI's offense, picking up 12 kills. Lewis got some help from Maris Francescon and her 18 assists. Finally, Kate Foley kept Paul VI's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Paul VI's loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Flint Hill, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Paul VI wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Bishop Ireton on the 29th. As for Flint Hill, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Oakton on the 27th.
