Meanwhile, Irwin County was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 47-46 to Atkinson County. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brooks County will have to contain Aaliyah Austin as she made an impact in Irwin County's last game. She dropped a double-double on 32 points and 12 rebounds. That was a full 69.6% of Irwin County's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. Brooklyn Gordon was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 boards.

Even though they lost, Irwin County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in 11 consecutive games.
